ABOUT TOUR

A Forest that Tells Stories

In November, the Terrarium Forest was transformed into an open-air creative workshop, where eight artists explored the theme of man-nature conflict through site-specific works. The artist residency, organized by Terrarium in collaboration with ArVima and the Municipality of Travacò Siccomario, created an experience that involved not only the participants but also the public.

The Artists and Their Works: A Dialogue with Nature

Valentina Bobbo: explored the fragility of the natural balance with installations using organic materials, evoking the cycle of life.

Antonio Conte: reflected on the human impact on the environment with his conceptual visions, creating a contrast between destruction and beauty.

Benedetta Sanrocco: celebrated the resilience of nature with intertwined shapes reminiscent of roots and trees.

Giorgio Granata: brought urban elements into the forest, creating a dialogue between city and nature through industrial materials.

Giulia Nelli: with ceramics and glass to explore the beauty hidden in natural imperfections.

Leo Cogliati: his interactive works invite visitors to reflect on their role in preserving the environment.

Sue Kim (winner of the ArVima Artist Residency): her light installations played with light and shadow, symbolizing the balance between man and nature.

Luca Olivieri: he used recycled materials to create sculptures that tell stories of transformation and rebirth.

Alessandra Ubezio: Portraits in Motion

During the residency, Alessandra Ubezio followed the artists as they created their works, capturing significant moments through urban sketching-style portraits. Her sketches not only document the creative process but also add a narrative dimension to the overall experience. Each stroke tells a story, immortalizing the interaction between artist and environment.

Terrarium: A Creative Hub for Contemporary Art

Terrarium confirms itself as a unique space where art, nature, and community meet. The residency was not only an opportunity for artists to create extraordinary works but also a chance for the public to immerse themselves in an innovative cultural experience. Thanks to the support of the Municipality of Travacò Siccomario and the L’Albero delle Idee Association, the event promoted a sustainable approach to artistic creation.

Special Collaborations: ErrorMaker and Gabriele Albanesi

The light sculptures by Toni D’Alessandro (ErrorMaker) emphasized the connection between creativity and sustainability, while Gabriele Albanesi’s visual poetry paintings added a literary dimension to the event. These contributions further enriched the visitors’ experience.

An Astronomical Touch

The Cà del Monte Observatory participated in the event by sharing astrophotography material, offering a glimpse into infinity and broadening the dialogue between art and science.

Conclusion: A Living Forest of Creativity

The artist residency at Terrarium was much more than just an exhibition. It was a collective experience that brought art, nature, and people into dialogue. The Forest was transformed into a living space for creation and reflection, demonstrating once again Terrarium’s key role as a reference point for contemporary art.
